Clean Hydrogen To Power
Zero-Emissions Fleets
At New Day Hydrogen, we provide onsite, carbon-free hydrogen for fleets to fuel their transition to zero emissions seamlessly and sustainably.
Powerful, Reliable, and Sustainable Hydrogen Fueling
Our HubStarter™ systems generate clean hydrogen using electricity from green sources like solar or wind and water — even from non-potable supplies. This process splits water molecules to create hydrogen and oxygen gas without other undesirable byproducts. The resulting hydrogen is stored and rapidly dispensed into electric vehicles, offering a swift alternative to conventional charging.
Why Hydrogen?
Diesel has served us well – but now is the time for better tech.
The demand for cleaner air has never been stronger in our communities – particularly those sensitive to soot particles that damage lungs and degrade health. Hydrogen offers the ability to power large, diesel-type vehicles with electricity produced on board rather than stored in a battery. No combustion, no noise, and only water vapor out the tailpipe!
| DIESEL | HYDROGEN | |
|---|---|---|
Emissions | Produces greenhouse gasses and soot Refining diesel releases significant greenhouse gases and soot | Produces only oxygen When derived from renewable sources like solar or wind, producing hydrogen only adds oxygen |
Air Quality | Emits pollutants like NOx and PM Emits pollutants like nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM) that degrade air quality | Emits only water vapor Emits only water vapor, eliminating harmful emissions and improving air quality |
Noise & Odor | Noisy and pungent Diesel engines are noisy and pungent, contributing to unpleasant local conditions | Quiet and odorless Hydrogen electric vehicles operate quietly and without odor, creating a far more agreeable environment |
Efficiency | Low efficiency, fossil-consuming Diesel engines at best offer 10-20% well-to-wheel efficiency as they consume fossil resources | Three times more efficient Hydrogen electrolysis vehicles are three times more efficient and return all water to the environment |
Fueling Time | Refuels in minutes Refuels in minutes, but emits pollutants unlike zero-emission alternatives | Refuels in minutes Refules in minutes, not hours, and offers the same zero emissions as battery electric vehicles |
Safety | Diesel vapors collect at ground level Diesel and its vapors tend to collect at ground level around vehicles and people | Dissipates quickly, being lighter than air Hydrogen is 14X lighter than air and dissipates quickly in the event of uncontrolled release |

Innovative Ecosystem Development
At New Day Hydrogen, we’re advancing the transition to zero emissions with our innovative HubStarter modules and a focus on demand-driven development. Recognizing that batteries aren’t ideal for every vehicle or use, we also understand that infrastructure investments must be justified by sufficient demand. Our approach combines distributed, non-fossil hydrogen production with early fleet adoption to “start hubs” for a decarbonized future.
A Solution with a Light Touch
Our Hubstarter™ systems arrive fully tested and ready to provide a cost-effective solution for transitioning to zero emissions. Installation requires only a 1,000-square-foot concrete pad, a 500-kW electrical connection, water, and a drain. By offering hydrogen fueling as-a-service, we enable fleets to adopt zero-emissions vehicles incrementally and to scale up over time with flexibility.
Modest Vehicle Requirement
New Day Hydrogen’s approach operates economically fueling as few as three Class 8 tractors, five buses, 10 medium-duty trucks, or 30 cars. For the Hy-25 project in Colorado, HubStarter systems are public-facing and can serve co-located entities across sectors such as utility, transit, government, and commercial fleets. This makes our approach ideal for pilot-scale adoption by entities eager to capture zero-emissions incentives.
